RFID ATTENDANCE

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) based attendance system. This system can be used to take attendance for student in school, college, and university. It also can be used to take attendance for workers in working places. Radio-frequency identification uses electromagnetic fields to automatically identify and track tags attached to objects.Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology is a powerful and advanced instrument used for automated data collection, processing, and tracking, in a wide range of  industries.

Benefits of using RFID Attendance System in schools

The RFID can be implemented in a school environment to derive the benefits for all stakeholders – students, parents, teachers, and management. Each student will be given an RFID tag to wear. This can be in the form of an ID card or a part of their daily uniform. Each RFID tag will be preprogrammed according to the unique user profile of the student. The antennas will be placed in strategical locations like school gate, classroom doors, library, canteen, etc. Multiple antennas can be placed around the same location to increase accuracy and work as a standby to avoid the single point of failure.

Another recent trend is to implement an RFID system in school buses. This allows the tracking of students outside the school campus when they are on a school bus. This collects information about the stops where the kids on- boarded and de-boarded the bus. This also will be communicated to parents on a real-time basis through the student information system mobile apps or SMS.

Benefits of using RFID Attendance System in Companies

While an employer must maintain a system for accurate recording of employee work hours, advances in technology have greatly simplified the process. With an RFID time clock system, business owners can monitor employee hours with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification). These systems are seamless and extremely accurate. Implementing an RFID attendance tracking system allows employers and managers to evaluate productivity by identifying workers who arrive on time, late, leave early or are frequently absent. These time tracking systems replace older time and attendance systems, automatically storing data, while providing a clear view of issues such as unscheduled or excessive breaks that are hidden with a less advanced system. RFID time clocks have a multitude of benefits, a significant one being that they eliminate the need for multiple cards.
